What keeps us connected to life is the ability to sit with the pains that arise from the depths of our psychological history and the cold, silent challenges of our times. These pains often stubbornly seek to break the human spirit. Yet, we have no choice but to endure them, to nurture a seed from within their depths, and, as Turan Khanom wisely said, “transform great suffering into great work.” Or as Rumi beautifully expressed “Bring forth joy from the heart of sorrow.”
It is through this that we can ignite a passion for living and add a sparkle to our gaze. The therapy room is a sacred space where the therapist and the client, like two halves of a walnut, sit together in companionship with pain and sorrow. Together, they search for that radiant seed hidden within, weaving a new design into the fabric of life.
For me, this is a heartfelt mission—to lend a guiding hand on the journey of growth and to be a light through the steep and winding paths of life’s struggles.
