Life always brings with it many displeasures. Losses, deficiencies, disappointments, and painful experiences are an inseparable part of life. However, by better understanding oneself and accepting limitations, one can reduce some of the displeasures. For me, psychoanalysis, due to its immersion in the human psyche and the effort to reach an accurate understanding of another’s inner experience, has always been fascinating and exciting. It has provided thought-provoking answers to many of my questions and encouraged learning and education; ‘because without learning, life is nothing.
