Since 2014, I have been practicing as a therapist, utilizing approaches such as Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Analytic Psychotherapy. In 2016, I began my personal analysis and supervision while following the theoretical training syllabus of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Institute.
My academic research has focused on existential questions, particularly around death and the anxiety it provokes, in the fields of psychoanalysis, philosophy, literature, and psychology since 2010. Notably, I conducted a research project titled A Comparative Study on Subclinical Death Anxiety in Conversion Disorder Patients and a Control Group under the supervision of Dr. Abbas Bakhshipour from the University of Tabriz and Dr. Irvin Yalom from Stanford University. Additionally, I worked on a project titled The Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Death Anxiety in OCD Patients under the guidance of Dr. Davazdah Emami from Shahid Beheshti University and Dr. Michael Twohig from Utah State University.
Beyond psychoanalysis, I have a deep interest in philosophy, mythology, sociology, and Persian and Western literature. I am currently finalizing a comparative study on the quatrains of Omar Khayyam and the epistemological writings of Nietzsche. I have also recently translated the book Melanie Klein: A Graphic Guide. Furthermore, I have drafted a research project on the Hegelian dialectic in Klein’s theory under the supervision of Dr. Leonardo Nascimento from the Department of Psychoanalysis and Social Sciences at the University of Essex, though I have postponed its completion for personal reasons.
At present, I am conducting research on the mental health of Swedish students under the supervision of Dr. Anne H. Berman. In clinical practice, I am particularly interested in working with adults who have experienced trauma, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders.
