Dr. Nasim Nekouei is a psychiatrist and has a psychotherapy fellowship degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, with a history of clinical practice in psychiatry since 15 years ago and clinical activity as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist since 8 years ago. She is currently a member of the faculty of Gilan University of Medical Sciences. She is in charge of the psychotherapy rotation of the residency course, which includes theory training and clinical supervision. She is also the secretary of the Iranian Scientific Psychotherapy Association since 2009 (second term).
She was responsible for holding the third conference quarterly webinars and two analytical psychotherapy training courses (basic and intermediate) in the Scientific Psychotherapy Association of Iran. She was a member of the executive board and assistant to the executive secretary of the third Congress of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychotherapy in Iran. Among her other records, she is a member of the scientific committee of the second conference of the Scientific Association of Psychotherapy of Iran, cooperation in holding three workshops in the field of transference-based psychotherapy and a workshop on therapeutic alliance in the meetings of psychoanalysis and dynamic psychotherapy and the Scientific Association of Psychotherapy of Iran, participating as a speaker in the symposiums of Psychotherapy Association and the 3rd Conference of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychotherapy of Iran, she has been the scientific secretary and speaker of two meetings related to supportive psychotherapy, giving lectures and participating in numerous online panels in the study group of dynamic psychiatry, speaking at psychiatry symposia, etc.
She has also been the facilitator of the self-help group of therapists of the Iranian Psychotherapy Scientific Association for two and a half years. She has three co-authored articles on mental health and psychoanalysis, published in Iranian journals and the International Journal of Psychoanalysis of Infant Observation. She is also one of the translators of ” From the Couch to the Circle,” one of the leading reference books in analytical group therapy. She completed his psychotherapy fellowship course and his post-fellowship training, which includes Freud’s theory courses, Klein, Bion, Winnicott, Fairbairn, infant observation course, psychosomatic course, first and second organization dynamics course, transference-based psychotherapy course, psychotherapy of the psychotic patient, couple therapy. Analytical and psychosexual approaches and analytical group therapy, along with hours of clinical work and more than a thousand hours of clinical supervision, have passed under the control of reputable professors in these fields inside and outside the country. Her field of clinical work and interest is individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy and analytic group therapy.
