Dr. Marjan Shokrani

Psychiatrist, Cognitive and Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist

Dr. Marjan Shokrani is a doctor of Medicine from Tehran University and a Neuropsychiatrist from Iran University. She began her professional career three years ago and is keenly interested in neuroscience and neuropsychiatry. During her three years of practice, Marjan has focused on drug treatment and psychotherapy for neurotic and addiction disorders.

For some time, she served as the secretary of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Working Group at the Cognitive Sciences Headquarters of Iran. During her tenure, she organized workshops and congresses. Also, she delivered speechs at the congresses on the use of technology and artificial intelligence in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Marjan has also acted as a mentor in two startup challenges related to developing cognitive products and services for neurological and psychiatric disorders. She conducted these challenges under the supervision of the Innovation Center for Cognitive Science and Technology and Data Mining. To date, Marjan has published eight articles in international journals, with three published and two under publication articles explicitly focusing on psychiatric disorders.

She is also writing a book in Persian, which delves into executive function disorders, memory, and the aging process. Marjan’s primary interest lies in working in the field of psychotherapy for neurotic and addiction disorders, as well as exploring the realm of neuropsychiatry and effective interventions in suicide prevention.
