Dr. Fatemeh Kashaninasab holds a degree in psychiatry and completed a sleep medicine fellowship at Iran University of Medical Sciences. Since 2016, she has been actively involved in clinical work as a faculty member in the psychiatry department of Iran University of Medical Sciences. She is a member of the Iranian Psychiatric Association and Sleep Medicine Society (ISM).

Furthermore, Dr. Kashaninasab serves on the Board of Directors of the ISM. With over a decade of research experience, she has delivered numerous lectures on sleep and psychiatric disorders. Additionally, she has conducted educational workshops focusing on pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for sleep disorders, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia.

The textbook on sleep medicine that she co-authored is widely regarded as one of the most reputable works in the field of sleep medicine in Iran.

Dr. Kashaninasab’s specific interests within the field of sleep disorders include pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for insomnia, hypersomnia, nightmares, and sleep disorders that commonly coexist with mood and anxiety disorders.
