Mana Goodarzi

Mana Goodarzi is a psychotherapist specializing in psychoanalytic approaches. She is currently a candidate in psychoanalytic studies at the University of Essex, Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalysis.M.S Goodarzi earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in clinical psychology, respectively, from the University of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran.

Throughout her professional experience, she has been committed to principles in Psychoanalytic training, including personal therapy, individual and group supervision sessions, and routine training. She received her trainiging and supervision  at the Tehran Center of Psychoanalytic Studies and Roozbeh Hospital training courses. Currently Ms. Goodarzi is privileged to be a student in advanced training at the Manje Psychoanalytic Group.

Her clinical work primarily focuses on object relationship theories, predominantly the British psychoanalytic school, aimed at understanding the mind through early relationship experiences. Ms. Goodarzi’s research interests include trauma, loss, mourning, attachment, body-mind relationships, and psychosocial fields. In this regard, she has presented articles on childhood trauma and societal attitudes towards body experiences.
