Viewpoint
As a psychologist with a migrant background, and through my work with migrant families, children, and youth, I have gained insight into the difficulties of making sense of migration experiences—leaving the familiar behind, facing the unknown, missing a sense of belonging, and struggling with feelings of confusion, loss, and loneliness. I believe in creating safe and empowering spaces where individuals and families can work through their experiences and move toward self-integration and growth.
As a graduate of a university that places evidence at the forefront of treatment standards, and at the same time a student of a school of thought that regards human humanity as surpassing the limits of scientific grasp, I strive in my therapy room to rely on researched and trustworthy methods, while not confining my perspective to a single theory or school. Together, we explore the complexities of human relationships, daring to look at the unseen corners of the client’s mind, at the hidden wounds of the psyche, and to offer healing through self-insight and compassion.
